Social Security Assist was created by:
Edwin Lopez-Soto and the Western New York Law Center.


Edwin Lopez-Soto is a 1981 graduate of Cornell Law School and a staff attorney with the Greater Upstate Law Project. Ed provides research, technical and litigation support to SSI/SSD practitioners in New York State. Ed has litigated some of the major SSI/SSD cases including Second Circuit treating physician case and the New York acquiescence case. Ed is well-known nationally as an expert in the Social Security area and regularly lectures at the National Organization of Social Security Claimants conferences.

Western New York Law Center provides free civil legal services to low income people, and is a well-known for its work in using technology within the legal services environment.
